Abstract
This article examines the concept of human dignity in the context of the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by integrating philosophical and theological perspectives. The study is motivated by the growing influence of AI in human life, which raises fundamental questions about human identity, rationality, and moral responsibility. It aims to analyze human dignity from the standpoint of philosophy, explore the theological foundation of human dignity through the concept of Imago Dei, and reflect on the implications of AI for understanding the human person. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, focusing on conceptual analysis of relevant philosophical and theological sources. The findings indicate that although AI can simulate certain cognitive functions such as learning, reasoning, and decision-making, it lacks self-consciousness, moral agency, and existential freedom. Therefore, AI cannot replace the intrinsic dignity of human beings, which is grounded in their rational, moral, relational, and spiritual dimensions. The study concludes that human beings must remain the central subject in the development and use of technology. It highlights the importance of ethical responsibility and interdisciplinary reflection to ensure that AI serves humanity while upholding human dignity in the digital age.
