Abstract
Tourism social enterprises have an important role in creating economic benefits, environmental conservation and improving the welfare of local communities. This research aims to analyze the development of social entrepreneurship, the economic impact on the community and formulate a model for the development of sustainable tourism social enterprises. This qualitative research used a multiple case study approach. In-depth interviews were conducted with village governments, tourism awareness groups, tourism businesses and communities in these rural areas. The data collected was analyzed using the content analysis method in presenting the results. The research findings show that the development of sustainable tourism social entrepreneurship is still very minimal so that the economic impact for the community is also still minimal. The implication of this research is to propose a sustainable tourism entrepreneurship development model to realize the triple bottom line in sustainable tourism development.
