Abstract
This research aims to: (1). introduce members of the Banusu-Binesu tribe to understand the meaning of fellowship in the oldest traditional house (Ume Mnasi). (2) dig deeper into the meaning of the the oldest traditional house community (Ume Mnasi) for the Banusu tribe concerning the Church as a communio. The author made this study with the research subject, namely the involvement of members of the Banusu-Binesu tribe. The author used a sociocultural approach in research and used qualitative methods with library data collection techniques and field research with data collection instruments through in-depth interviews. Based on the research results, the author concludes the following main points: First, the fellowship in Ume mnasi describes the presence of the Supreme Being as the basis of the fellowship which is usually called Usi Neno. Belief in the presence of the Supreme Being is seen through the symbol of great pillar (Ni ainaf). Fellowship in Ume mnasi refers to aspects of solidarity, shared responsibility, joy and peace, and harmonious brotherhood. Second, the very essence of the Church is its call to communion with God. The church as a community is rooted in God's eternal decision to create humans with the aim that they can obtain happiness in communion with the Triune God Himself. The Church is called to unite everyone into a spiritual communion of life with God and a concrete communion with all humanity. The basis of this unity is spiritual which arises in the participation of life together in the Holy Spirit which is given in baptism. Third, the Church as communio and fellowship in the oldest traditional house (Ume Mnasi) expresses the unity of spiritual life with God and concrete communion with fellow humans and nature. Therefore, both the Church and the oldest traditional house (Ume Mnasi) have the same goal, namely, to achieve happiness in communion. Fourth, referring to the same goal, the main opportunity for the Church's approach to realizing the kingdom of God in the world can only occur through culture. This means that the proclamation of the Gospel and cultural inculturation are closely related. This relationship was formed to complement the success of the Church's mission to realize the kingdom of God.
