Abstract
The Islamic population in East Flores is currently growing rapidly. This cannot be separated from the of coastal communities in advancing the development of Islam. In this writing, the writers attempt to review the contribution of coastal communities to the development of Islam from a more compleks perspektive. The research uses literature study and qualitative desckriptive method to explain the community’s contribution. Coastal communities have sufficient potential to support the developmen of Islamic religion, especially in developing the faith of their people. Besides that, their presence as a minority religion in Flores Timur also poses a challenge to developing their faith. This writing aims to examine the role of coastal communities in increasing the development of the Islamic faith in the East Flores Region. Kata kunci: Mas
