Abstract

Nature in itself contains a substance that shows that there is a form of life from entities such as humans and other living things, something related to everything in heaven and on earth, and in its presence, nature is seen as a manifestation of the Creator. In addition, nature also contains a system or law that functions as a controller of the order of each component or element of nature itself. Based on the relationship, nature has a connection in each element so that it is believed by the heavenly religions that nature is created and controlled by God and by local beliefs in this case the Lamaholot culture is believed to be the creation of the Supreme Being. Islam as one of the heavenly religions also has its own view of nature as interpreted in the verses of the Qur'an and traditions, as well as the Lamaholot people who view nature as a manifestation of Lera Wulan Tana Ekan. Lera Wulan Tana Ekan is one of the cultural products of the Lamaholot community which is included in one of the seven elements of culture, namely the belief system or religion. The Lamaholot people view nature as a form of the presence of the Supreme Being symbolized through Heaven and Earth. Lera Wulan Tana Ekan is the concept of local belief of the Lamaholot people that still exists and lives today. The research used is descriptive qualitative with literature sources as a reference. The results show that there is a correlation or reciprocal relationship about nature according to Islamic views and the concept of Lera Wulan Tana Ekan as a traditional belief of the Lamaholot people. The correlation is evident in the thought that nature is a simple form of a sign of the presence of Allah or the Supreme Being who maintains order.
