Abstract
Every culture has its own religious system and each religion has its own faith. Lonf, before Islam appeared and entered the earth of Solor, the people of Solor had adhered to their own belief system with various concepts. After Islam entered Solor there was interaction and contact with the Lamaholot culture. Faced with this reality, a fusion occurred, and there were possibilities of both rejection and acceptance by the Lamaholot community. Indigenous people also feared that their culture would be disrupted by the appearance of a new culture. This fusion let to a dialogue between these two distinct cultures. Islamic teachings were introduced with the principle of spreading their beliefs, while the Lamaholot cultural community tried to preserve their culture to keep it pure and uncontaminated. The influence of Islamic teachings is evident in the appearance of follower who are, not ably, of Lamaholot origin. These results stemp from the fusion of two different cultures, each with its own concepts of divinity discipline, respective principles. The author employed a qualitative method, conducting a literature review. The purpose of this writing is to explore and explain the concepts of divinity in two different cultures: Islam and Lamaholot. The author also seeks to examine how the Lamaholot community responds to the appearance of Islamic culture through potential dilogues that can build harmony and mutual understanding. The findings indicate that Lamaholot Muslim communities, in practice, fulfil their religious obligations while simultaneously respecting and maintaining Lamaholot cultural tradition. This success can contribute to harmony in the local community’s life.
